Episode 008: Switching from Honeybook to Dubsado w/ Mary Otanez

A little over a year ago Mary hired me to streamline her business in Dubsado. She was switching from Honeybook to Dubsado, but to be honest, she was barely using that CRM for more than sending out invoices and contracts. So we can safely say this was a brand-new systems setup ?

We started with her main offer, Motherhood sessions, which includes maternity + newborn + milestone + family sessions. At the end of working together she had a completely optimized & automated inquiry + onboarding system for her motherhood clients. I created a set of on-brand email templates, beautiful proposals so that clients were completely informed of the features & benefits of the sessions, and workflows that gave each of her clients the same amazing and consistent experience. 

I also duplicated that system and customized it for the second half of her business, branding sessions! I am truly honored she trusted me to be her Systems Fairy Godmother when she switched from Honeybook to Dubsado. Now she’s got great work-life balance and being “burnt out” is in the rearview mirror!

Growing up with a family full of women, She has always been surrounded with females who embody bravery, resiliency, and love. They weathered a few storms in our lives but it was our continued support for one another that empowered each of us to blossom in life.

She is proud to have been shaped with such female support and now, my passion has grown to focus on empowering women through my photography.

She graduated college with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography & Film. She started her career as an Art Producer for The Martin Agency in Richmond, Virginia. She produced print ads for some of the top brands such as Nespresso, Walmart, Geico, Hanes, and many more. During her years as a producer, she orchestrated some incredible productions with some of the top photographers and celebrities worldwide.

In 2013, she started her business officially and have never looked back. She absolutely loves the creative process of business ownership and building a brand that is her own. She embraces the constant growth and love tweaking the business model to better serve her clients.
