Kati is a phenomenal docu-lifestyle wedding & family photographer in the Bay Area, but more than that she is the best human. She came to me because her business was growing (YAY!) and she was long past the part of needing to automate tasks. She said, “Yeah, I need to do this because I’m spending just as much time on Dubsado as I am on editing photos or doing all of that and that’s just not sustainable.” Ultimately she wanted a system that would allow her to spend more time connecting with her amazing clients and less time on the scheduling and writing ALL the emails, but she also needed a backend experience that matched her front-end. I think we gave her the automation she wanted and a client experience that is now consistent from inquiry (Showit) to booking + onboarding (Dubsado) to delivery (Pic-Time).
Kati’s setup was one of my biggest to date. We did two Strategy + Implementation Dubsado VIP Days and an additional day to set up her online gallery automations for the Simple Sales System in Pic-Time.
“I hired Colie a few months ago to redo my Dubsado and my Pic-Time. In short, I needed a lot of help. Um, I’m running a business. I’m a mom. Young children. And I needed to make sure that my backend match what I was giving to clients and also my price points.
Previous to [hiring] Colie. I had like kind of finagled my way into Dubsado and trying to figure it out. I knew it was the system I wanted to use after trial and error with many other CRMs, but quite honestly, systems and management aren’t something that come really easy to me in tech. I’m like not a tech person.
And also I am an artist and creatively speaking, that kind of stuff really bums me out and I’m not great at it. So I was spending a lot of my time doing things manually. And my assistant was also doing things manually and trying to calendar, trying to balance my life, my family calendar with like my business calendar and double booking things and like shit was messy.
So Colie came in and really saved the day. It’s incredible what Colie’s been able to do. In just a matter of days, she met with me. Already, she was giving me business pointers and helping me point out like flaws and things that didn’t work and giving me advice. And then as time went on, she helped me redo some of the packages that I was offering and like claim back my time.
Ultimately, she created workflows for all the different parts of my clientele, which is weddings and newborns and maternity and family and make it so it’s really a breeze. And now I’m not going back and forth with clients, things are automatic. Um, I woke up and I didn’t have anything to do a couple weeks ago, which has never happened to me.
[The] workflows work and not only that, Colie is supportive. I’m past my 30 days, I just emailed her the other day to be like, “hey, do you have this or do that?” and Colie’s phenomenal. She knows what she’s doing. She’s really efficient, really on it. So incredible, such a great, um, personality. And she really helped me level up my business and my back-end in a way that I didn’t think was possible. With Pic-Time, I’ve made more sales, I have a more emotional connection, and she set all of that up for me and really supported me.
And now I just like copy and paste, whatever she’s done to fit whatever special sessions I’m doing or things that I need to have done. So I wished I would have invested in Colie a long, long time ago. I wish that this was my first thing that I would have done. I mentor, um, photographers now. And I am all about getting your shit straight because really, when you have the time to get it done, that’s when you need to do it.
And I was four years into my business before I did it and it’s been life changing. So Colie I love you. Everybody needs to hire you. Um, thank you for all that you’ve done.”
