Outsource Tasks in Your Business

I love talking to my friend Annemie every chance I get.  This post is inspired by a conversation we had on her podcast, This Can’t Be That Hard. If you would like to hear the entire conversation listen to episode 129.

You are in your way by refusing to outsource tasks in your business ?

Letting go of certain tasks that can be delegated (or even automated with a CRM ? ) leaves you more time to focus on growing your business & doing the things that bring you joy ?

What are some tasks you can outsource in your business?

I have a very long list of tasks I would outsource if I could find the perfect person to delegate them to. For right now, this is what I hire others to do for me!

• Bookkeeping
• Repurposing content for social media
• Editing (image + video)

When I first started my podcast, I considered outsourcing that, as it was something I was added to my already pretty full plate. While I haven’t completely eliminated that possibility, I am currently editing and managing my own podcast. I must admit, it takes less time than I thought it would with Descript. Best advice I can give you, start today! Try delegating one thing in your business that you really hate doing and let me know what it is in the comments ?

I realized that anything that does not bring me the utmost joy needs somebody else needs to do it, and I need to pay them.

Like I just hired someone to do some of my Instagram stuff. I also hired someone to write a sales page for a $37 offer, and I know that I could do those things.

But when I actually figure out how much I value my time, which I now have a number on how much I value my time. And so when I compare that to what these other people are charging to do these tasks, no, my time is much more valuable. So I would rather pay someone to do the things that don’t bring me joy so that I can really focus on what does bring me joy.

And like I said, right now, that’s setting up people’s Dubsado accounts. It’s also working with my long term photography clients, but I mean, those people are never gonna go away. I’ve got a couple clients where I have threatened to follow the kids to college so we’ll see how that goes.
